Home in Amsterdam

6-year-old Maja and her parents leave their familiar life in Yugoslavia behind to build a new future in Denmark. With her two older brothers left behind awaiting a reunion, the family struggles with a harsh reality in their new homeland. Language barriers, cultural alienation, and the constant doubt regarding their decision put their family bonds to the test. This poignant film explores the painful question of whether a leap into the unknown truly offers a new beginning, or if the essence of home is lost along the way.
