1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading and using the Cinemeet application, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Use License
Permission is granted to download and use Cinemeet for personal, non-commercial use only. Under this license you may not:
- Modify, copy, or distribute the app or its content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code
- Use the app for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Automate or scrape user data
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Share explicit or NSFW content
3. User Conduct and Content Moderation
3.1 Prohibited Content and Behavior
The following content and behaviors are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate action:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation of any kind
- Hate speech, discrimination, or prejudice based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic
- Sexually explicit content, nudity, or pornographic material
- Violence, gore, or graphic content
- Child exploitation or abuse
- Spam, scams, phishing, or fraudulent activities
- Fake profiles, catfishing, or identity misrepresentation
- Illegal activities or promotion of illegal substances
- Doxxing or sharing others' private information without consent
- Any content that violates local, national, or international law
3.2 Content Filtering and Moderation
Cinemeet employs multiple layers of content moderation:
- Automated Filtering: Automated systems screen profiles, photos, and messages for objectionable content
- Manual Review: Our moderation team reviews flagged content and user reports
- Proactive Monitoring: Random sampling and pattern detection to identify problematic behavior
- User Verification: Authentication through Apple or Google to ensure accountability
3.3 User Blocking and Reporting
Every user has the ability to protect themselves:
- Block Users: Instantly block any user from their profile details or during chat to prevent all future contact and visibility
- Report Function: Report profiles directly from profile details or during chat conversations
- Anonymous Reporting: Your identity is protected when submitting reports
- Multiple Reporting Options: Report for harassment, inappropriate content, fake profiles, spam, or other violations
3.4 24-Hour Response Guarantee
We are committed to rapid action on all reports:
- 24-Hour Review: All user reports are reviewed within 24 hours of submission
- Immediate Action: Objectionable content is removed immediately upon verification
- User Ejection: Users who provide offending content are ejected from the platform
- Permanent Records: Violators are permanently banned and cannot create new accounts
- Device Ban: Prevention of creating new accounts on the same device
- Law Enforcement Cooperation: Serious violations are reported to appropriate authorities
3.5 User-Generated Content Ownership
Users retain ownership of their uploaded profile photos and content. However, by uploading content, you:
- Grant Cinemeet a non-exclusive license to use, store, and display this content within the app for connecting cinema lovers
- Confirm you have the legal right to upload and share the content
- Certify that the content does not violate any third-party rights
- Acknowledge that content may be moderated, filtered, or removed if it violates these terms
3.6 Consequences of Violations
Violations of this section will result in:
- First-time minor violations: Warning and content removal
- Repeated violations: Temporary account suspension (7-30 days)
- Serious violations: Immediate and permanent account termination
- Criminal activity: Account termination and reporting to law enforcement
4. Service Availability and Pricing
Current Status: Cinemeet is currently provided free of charge. The service is offered as-is while we develop and improve the platform.
Future Pricing: We may introduce optional premium features or fees in the future to sustain operations. Any pricing changes will be communicated to users with reasonable notice. The app will continue to have a free tier with core functionality.
5. Liability Disclaimer
Cinemeet is provided on an "as-is" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied. While we strive to ensure the app works properly, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that it will be free from errors or bugs. Cinemeet is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app.
6. Safety and User Responsibility
While we take safety seriously, you use Cinemeet at your own risk. We recommend:
- Never share sensitive personal information (passwords, financial details)
- Meet matches in public places
- Trust your instincts and report suspicious behavior
- Use the app's reporting feature for any concerning interactions
7. Account Termination and Deletion
7.1 Self-Service Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time directly through the app:
- Open Settings in the Cinemeet app
- Navigate to Privacy & Data
- Select "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision
Once you delete your account, all your data (profile, photos, messages, matches) will be permanently removed from our servers immediately and cannot be recovered.
7.2 Account Termination by Cinemeet
Cinemeet reserves the right to terminate any account at any time, without notice, for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, harassment, or any other conduct deemed inappropriate. Upon termination, all associated data will be deleted and cannot be recovered.
8. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the app indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Intellectual Property
The Cinemeet app, including all code, design, and content (excluding user-uploaded photos), is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or transmit any content without our permission.
10. Legal Status and Jurisdiction
Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes will be resolved according to the laws of the jurisdiction where Cinemeet is registered.
