Home in Utrecht

Hoping for a better life, 6-year-old Maja and her parents emigrate from Yugoslavia to Denmark. While her older brothers remain behind with the promise to follow later, the dream of a fresh start quickly unravels. Struggling to adapt to a new language, culture, and way of life, the family faces an internal crisis. As the optimism fades, they are forced to confront the harsh reality of whether this new country can ever truly be called home.
