Kokuho in Leeuwarden

Set in 1964, the story follows 15-year-old Kikuo, who is taken under the wing of a legendary Kabuki actor following the death of his Yakuza father. Alongside the actor's son, Shunsuke, Kikuo dedicates his life to the demanding and traditional art of Kabuki. Over the course of several decades, the two young men evolve from brothers-in-spirit into bitter rivals. Fueled by a relentless desire for fame and artistic perfection, their bond is tested to the breaking point as they compete to become the greatest master of the Kabuki stage.
