Mariinka in Amsterdam

Mariinka offers a haunting and visceral portrait of a generation of young Ukrainians whose lives have been permanently shaped by over a decade of conflict in the Donbas. As shifting frontlines tear through their hometown, long-standing bonds of friendship and blood are pitilessly fractured. The film follows intimate stories, from a promising boxer turned military paramedic to brothers forced to fight on opposite sides of the front. This powerful documentary refuses to look away, capturing the human cost of a modern tragedy and the fragile resilience of those trapped within the crossfire.
