In the early 1990s, a joke in a Dutch pub in Tuk unexpectedly grew into a nationwide hit. For the down-to-earth members of Mannenkoor Karrespoor, it was the start of a surreal journey through television spotlights and major stages. As they navigated this strange new world, they struggled to keep their feet firmly on the ground. Now, 35 years after the success of 'Mooi man', the men reflect on their journey at their regular table in Café De Karre. This documentary weaves together archival footage and the present day, following the choir as they write a new song and prepare for an anniversary show.
