In the fall of 1963, thirteen-year-old Anne returns to Paris after a summer by the coast. As the school year begins, she stands on the cusp of adolescence, searching for her identity in a rapidly changing world. Her older sister, Frédérique, is her complete opposite: a politically active teenager fully embracing her first romantic experiences. Set against the backdrop of a turbulent France, the two sisters navigate the complex emotions and trials of growing up.
