The Choral in Zaandam

Set against the backdrop of World War I, a small English village struggles as its local men are sent to the front lines. The choral society, left fragmented and grieving, finds its trajectory altered by the arrival of the enigmatic Dr. Henry Guthrie. Harboring a controversial German past, Guthrie demands the remaining villagers cast aside their sorrow to focus on the healing power of song. Amidst the encroaching darkness of war, the community discovers that their greatest defiance is the beauty they create together.
